To be a Camp Pike Counselor means several things...
It means you are prepared to have fun, serve, push yourself outside your comfort zone, and make lifelong relationships. It also means you are prepared to open your heart and mind, get rid of prejudice, jealousy, pettiness and gossip. You strive to be an excellent role model, and part of a team that is physically, emotionally and spiritually ready to lead and mentor our young campers. Our counselors show our campers that we are one body – one body that works well together because each of us have a respect and love for those willing to give of themselves to this camp. Be prepared to have the most awesome two weeks of your life.
Counselor applications will be available December 21st and due by January 18th. Interviews (person to person or virtual) are going to be held the first few weeks of February with a selection committee meeting following. On average there is a total of 20 counselors selected (10 guys and 10 girls). At this time, we are working under the assumption that camp will be held as normal. In addition to Counselor Week (July 12th-16th) and Camp Week (July 16th-24th), there will be a few counselor meetups and team building events in the Summer leading up to camp. (Dates TBD)
